Another new member - A.D. Rains Coaches

It was at a recent wedding that we met Phil from A. D. Rains Coaches with one of their beautiful vintage buses, beautifully dressed inside with ribbons and flowers, and with an excellent customer care service.

We are therefore delighted to welcome them on board as a vetted and approved new Guild member.

With both vintage and modern coaches available for weddings and other events throughout the Bristol, Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire areas, they are able to provide transport from 6 to 57 people from their base in Brinkworth.

They have two vintage coaches available, Ruby, which is a red and white Bedford J2 Plaxton that starred in the 2010 film 'Made in Dagenham' as seen here:-

The second vintage coach is Tiger Cub which can be seen below:-

From May 2013 they also have a third vintage bus which is the 'Magical Mystery Tour' bus available for weddings, see below:-

We welcome a New Member

For those attending our recent wedding fayre at Old Down Manor, you will have noticed that we have a new member that has just joined the team of wedding specialists.

Annual Guild Wedding Fayre Shortly!!

Listen out for us on Kiss 101 soon detailing our Annual Wedding Fayre on Sunday, 24 March from 11-3pm.

Those getting married may have heard us back in January when we had planned for the fayre to take place on Sunday, 20 January.  Unfortunately due to the snow this fayre had to be cancelled, but we have now rescheduled the date to Sunday, 24 March.

Admission is absolutely free and you will be greeted with a glass of bubbly or orange juice and the Old Down Bistro will be available for food and further drinks too, so come along for the whole day!

ALL Guild members will be attending this event so it is a great opportunity for you to meet all of us at one time and in one place, one day in the whole year this is available.

ONLY Guild members are able to attend our events and you can rest assured that each and every one has been vetted and approved to provide a reliable, quality and professional wedding service.

There will be a selection of different wedding cars, a horse and carriage, wedding florists and cakes, wedding photographers and videographers, caterers, event decor including balloons,chair covers, favours etc, wedding stationery, bridal houses and bridesmaids attire and menswear and a number of Guild wedding venues too.

Membership News - Become a Guild Member

We are not simply a wedding directory!

The Guild of Professional Wedding Services is a non-profit making organisation which consists of a group of professional, reliable and quality services run by serious minded busines owners who are passionate about the wedding industry and their clients.  All of whom have been reference checked, vetted and approved as fully participating members of the Guild.

We are currently looking to recruit the following wedding services in the Bristol, Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire areas:-

Event Fireworks Supplier
Musicians
Bridal Jewellery
Bridal Wear and Bridesmaid Dresses
Mother of the Bride Outfits
Bespoke / Handmade Wedding Stationery
Children's Creche

Membership of The Guild of Professional Wedding Services is now available from the 1st of each month.

MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

1.  Trading for a minimum of 1 year.
2.  Three recent client references required.
3.  Membership fee of £299.00 for new members.
4.  Membership renewal £225.00.
5.  Attendance at the Annual Spring Wedding Fayre required.
6.  Business must provide a service in the wedding industry.
7.  Limited number of businesses per category, therefore acceptance will be at the Guild's discretion.

MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES

1.  One year's membership of The Guild of Professional Wedding Services.
2.  Attendance at the Guild member's only wedding fayre.
3.  Entry onto the Guild's website with a direct link to your companies website, with the option to update or add more information at any time.
4.  Your company name on the Guild leaflet which is distributed by other Guild members and at various wedding fayres.
5.  Guild advertising and promotion, including - Radio advertisement, wedding magazines, posters and flyers.
6.  The use of the Guild Logo on your website with a direct link through to The Guild of Professional Wedding Services website, and the use of the Guild Logo on your promotional material.
7.  You have the ability to meet and work with other wedding suppliers and form new working relationships.
8.  You can attend the Guild  Annual General Meeting and have your say in advertising, structure, promotions, website, blogs and decisions on moving the Guild forward.

Annual Guild Only Wedding Fayres 2013

For all those couples getting married during the next couple of years, it is always a great idea to pop along to a wedding fayre or exhibition to speak to local wedding service providers about what they can offer  you for your special day.

There are SO many venues now holding wedding fayres it can be confusing as to which one is going to be worthwhile and exhibit the very best professionals in the business.

Here at the Guild of Professional Wedding Services we hold our very own wedding fayres, organised and marketed by the Guild Committee and its Guild members.

Our wedding fayres showcase only Guild members who have been vetted and approved to provide the very highest of standards at all times and who are professional and attentive to your every need.

Our next Guild wedding fayre will be at The Bristol Golf Club this coming Sunday, 24 February from 11-3pm, as always free entry plus a complimentary glass of bubbly or orange juice and over seventeen Guild members ready and waiting to answer all  your enquiries.

A month later we will  be holding our Annual Wedding Fayre at our flagship venue at Old Down Manor in Tockington on Sunday, 24 March 2013 from 11am until 3pm, which has been rescheduled from January due to the snow.

Admission is free and all Guild members attend this particular annual event, with a glass of bubbly or orange juice for the drivers/ children available on entering the fayre, together with a goody bag for each bride containing essential wedding magazines for some bedtime reading!

Our bridal houses:   Bride at Home and A Class Brides will be showcasing their beautiful gowns with models  showcasing brides and bridesmaid dresses throughout the day, plus The Original Mobile Menswear will be showcasing his attire for the 'boys'.  Also meet our Wedding Celebrant, Pamela Woodford from Clear Day Weddings who can marry you anywhere!  and we mean 'anywhere'!

Wedding florists, photographers and videographers, plus table decorations, chair covers, balloons, chair covers, cakes and catering will all be on hand to discuss your particular requirements and numerous wedding cars will be awaiting your arrival at the entrance to the house plus a horse and carriage too!

Plus lots more including Olivia the General Manager from the venue and her team to show you all around this wonderful house and other wedding venues showcasing their establishments too!
